Despiteits prehistoric running gear, the Scirocco’s timeless good looks are matched with a sprightly driving character. The 217bhp 2.0-litre turbo revs keenly through to 7,000rpm thanks to Usingthe current Golf GTI running gear, the other model on offer is the TSI 2.0 litre turbo version producing 147kW at 5100rpm and 280Nm of torque at 1700 to 5000rpm. This version is mated to a six Performance pars with the new Golf GTi, having the same engine and all. It may even slightly exceed it asit is slightly lighter. It’s around 200Bhp from the 2 litre turbo. There are also 3 modes, Comfort, Normal and Sport. The Sport mode stiffens up the suspension and sharpens up the steering and throttle, which is a nice touch.
